What Are White Fillings?

White (composite) fillings are made from a tooth-coloured resin that blends with your natural teeth. They're used to repair cavities and can also reshape or improve the appearance of damaged teeth.

Unlike silver amalgam fillings, they're virtually invisible.

Why Choose White Fillings?

Match your natural tooth colour for an invisible repair. Bond directly to the tooth, restoring up to 90% of its original strength. Mercury-free and biocompatible. Less tooth removal required compared to amalgam fillings. No thermal sensitivity issues. Last 8–12 years with proper care.

The Procedure

Your dentist numbs the area, removes any decay, cleans and dries the tooth, applies an etching solution to help the filling bond, then places and shapes the composite material layer by layer.

A curing light hardens each layer, and the filling is polished to match your bite and the look of your surrounding teeth.

You can eat normally once the numbness wears off.
