Repair Cavities and Protect Your Teeth
Dental fillings at Brightsmile — composite, porcelain, glass ionomer and more

Why You Might Need a Filling
Fillings treat cavities caused by decay, repair chipped or cracked teeth, and rebuild teeth worn down by grinding or acidic diets. Left untreated, small problems become big (and expensive) ones.
Types of Fillings
Composite (white)
Tooth-coloured, bonds to the tooth, invisible finish. Our most popular choice.
Glass Ionomer
Releases fluoride for added protection. Ideal for children's teeth and non-biting surfaces.
Porcelain / Ceramic
Highly durable and stain-resistant. Excellent for larger restorations.
Gold
Extremely long-lasting. Best for back teeth under heavy chewing forces.
Amalgam (silver)
Durable and cost-effective but less aesthetic. Rarely used today.

The Procedure
Your dentist numbs the area, removes the decay, cleans the tooth, then places and shapes the filling material. Composite fillings are hardened with a curing light and polished for a natural finish.
